THE  HISTORY  OF  ALL  SAINTS
Originally one of the four chapels-of-ease of the mediaeval parish of Duffield, All Saints did not acquire independent status as the church of its own parish until 1847. The earliest certain date for the existence of the church is 1589.The year 1630 is inscribed in clearly contemporary numerals over the south door. But there is likely to have been an earlier church. The drawing above shows the building in 1821.

There was a major alteration in 1883 which included he addition of the chancel and porch. The Turnditch and Windley Parish Magazine was first published in 1913.

The window showing St Christopher came from the redundant church of St Werburgh, Derby, and was installed here after its closure.
